Respect Farm Animals and Wildlife

As more and more people visit the outdoors, wildlife in these areas are affected by visitors’ presence. To keep wildlife wild, observe animals and birds from a distance. Try not to disturb them, particularly at sensitive times: mating, nesting and raising young (generally between spring and early summer).

Never feed wild animals or birds as our food can damage their health, alter natural behaviour and leave them vulnerable to predators and other dangers. Keeping your dog under control at all times will keep people, dogs, livestock and wildlife safe.

Farm animals comprise a lot of the animals you will encounter in the outdoors; it is important to remember that they are not pets and it is best to remain at a safe distance.
